Zfuro is a full planning and full production system in one place, so your artwork lives in the same tool that schedules and tracks it. This guide covers what you can upload, how the platform keeps colour and layers intact, and what you get back at delivery.
Accepted source formats
You can upload manga, webtoon and comic pages in these formats:
- PSD, TIFF, PNG, JPG, up to 50 MB per file.
Upload is fast and direct: files stream straight to secure object storage, so large batches do not bottleneck through the app. You can bring in up to 1,500 files across 500 folders in a single batch, and you can batch-create series from a CSV or TSV import to stand up a whole catalogue at once.
Zfuro also deduplicates by file content. If the same artwork is uploaded again, it is recognized as the same page rather than a duplicate. Identity is the file itself, not its number, so pages that legitimately share a page number are handled correctly.
Colour stays accurate, end to end
Colour fidelity matters for print and premium digital, so Zfuro preserves it losslessly from upload to delivery:
- The original colorspace, channel bit-depth and ICC profile are kept intact.
- Supported profiles include sRGB, Adobe RGB, US Web Coated (SWOP), Japan Color 2011 Coated, and PSO Coated v3.
- CMYK and print masters are stored as-is. The master is never flattened, so your print-ready colour is never degraded along the way.
Layers and versions
When letterers upload a typesetting layer, those layer files (PSD, TIFF, or a layered PDF from InDesign) are composited as text over an untouched base image. A typesetting layer must be text on a transparent background, so the artwork underneath is always preserved separately.
Every page keeps a full version history, including the source master, a flattened version, a web preview, a thumbnail, its layers, and the final. Nothing overwrites the original.
Editing in the browser
For standard RGB or grayscale 8-bit pages, an in-browser editor lets your team work directly in Zfuro. CMYK or 16-bit masters are intentionally routed to a Photoshop or InDesign export path instead, so print colour is never degraded by an in-browser round trip.
Delivery and export
When work is finished, Zfuro exports it as Photoshop, InDesign, or plain image packages, bundled into a single ZIP for handoff. Because the same platform planned and produced the chapter, what you deliver matches exactly what was scheduled and tracked.
